While its main application is currently in the design of photonic components and circuits, it can be customized for use in many domains related to micro- and nano-electronics (microfluidics, plasmonics, MEMS, etc). - Generic Silicon Photonics PDK & Design Methdology: We provide a Generic Silicon Photonics (GSiP) PDK, which is implemented in Mentor Graphics (Pyxis and Calibre) and Lumerical INTERCONNECT tools and is available for download. The purpose of this kit is to demonstrate the functionality of a silicon photonics design flow implementation, with no restrictions to its distribution. This kit can be adapted for different fabrication processes. The kit provides insight into the approach taken to implement the PDK and Libraries available today, namely via OpSIS (IME) and via SiEPIC (IME, imec, EBeam).
